What is Edmond Trader Funding?

Edmond Trader Funding is a proprietary trading firm that evaluates traders in a simulated environment. Successful traders who meet our criteria follow the rules and can earn payouts.

Is Edmond Trader Funding a broker or an investment firm?

No, Edmond Trader Funding is neither a broker nor an investment firm. We do not manage client funds for investment. We provide evaluation accounts in a simulated environment to assess and learn trading skills.

Who are your evaluation programs designed for?

Our programs are designed for people that want to learn to be consistently profitable traders who demonstrate strong risk management skills before risking money in real money accounts.

What makes Edmond Trader Funding different from other prop firms?

We offer a straightforward, one-step evaluation process with only a trailing threshold. After passing evaluation you can go to "PRO" where you follow pretty much standard prop firm rules, consistency, We are more relaxed than most firms.

What account sizes do you offer?

We offer various evaluation account sizes, including $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, and $150,000. Each account size has specific parameters for profit targets, trailing thresholds, and contract limits.

What financial instruments can I trade?

Our programs primarily focus on futures contracts listed on major exchanges such as CME. Specific permitted instruments are detailed in the rules for your chosen plan.

Is the funded account real money?

All trading in evaluation and Performance Accounts is conducted in a simulated environment. Compensation to successful Performance Account traders is based on profits achieved in this simulated environment.

The Evaluation Process

How does the Edmond Trader Funding evaluation work?

It's a single-step process. You select an account size, pay the monthly subscription fee, and trade in a simulated environment. To pass, you must reach a specific profit target, adhere to the trailing threshold rule. "Performance" accounts follow rules and require 7 trading days.

What are the main rules for passing an evaluation?

The core rules are:

  • Profit Target: Achieve a set profit amount for your chosen account size.
  • Trailing Threshold: Your account balance (including unrealized P&L) must not drop below a specified trailing drawdown level.

Funded Performance Accounts

What is a Performance Account?

A "Performance Account" is for those who have successfully passed their evaluation. In a Performance Account, you must follow rules like consistency etc. and are eligible for profit payouts. see Performance account detailed rules

How often can I request payouts from my Performance Account?

You are typically eligible to request payouts after meeting the goals review and process. usually within a few days.

What are the payout methods?

We offer several payout methods, which may include bank wire, ACH, Cash app etc.

What happens if I breach a rule in my Performance Account ?

Breaching a rule in your Performance Account can lead to forfeiture of payout eligibility, reversal of profits gained during non-compliance, and potential permanent account closure, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.

Is the Performance Account real money?

All trading in Performance Accounts is conducted in a simulated environment. Compensation to successful Performance Account traders is based on profits achieved in this simulated environment.

Trading Rules & Guidelines

What trading strategies are prohibited?

We prohibit strategies that exploit the simulated environment or are not replicable in live market conditions. This includes, but is not limited to: exploiting platform errors, certain high-frequency trading, coordinating trades across multiple accounts in a prohibited manner, and account sharing and along with one directional trading. (no long and short trades at the same time)

Is copy trading allowed?

Copy trading from your own accounts (that you personally manage and trade) to your Edmond Trader Funding account(s) is generally permitted. Copying trades from third-party signal providers or other traders is not allowed.

What are the allowed trading hours?

Market hours, All positions must be closed, and any pending orders cancelled, before a specific time each trading day (e.g., 3:55 PM EST). Holding positions over weekends or major holidays is also restricted.

What is the maximum contract size?

The maximum contract size depends on your chosen account size. For example, a $25,000 account might have a limit of 4 contracts (40 micros). These limits are detailed in your plan's rules.

Do I need to use a stop-loss?

Yes, trading without a defined stop-loss strategy is prohibited. Relying on the Trailing Threshold as the sole stop-loss for every trade is not acceptable.

What is the Profit Consistency Guideline?

This guideline for Performance Accounts addresses the proportion of total profit generated in a single trading day. If a Performance Account generates more than 30% of its total accumulated profit in one day, it may affect immediate profit withdrawal eligibility to promote sustainable profitability.

Can I average into positions?

Strategies involving adding to an initial losing position ("averaging in") are permissible if executed responsibly, maintaining appropriate risk-to-reward for the combined position and complying with all other guidelines.

Are there rules about hedging?

Holding opposing positions (long and short) simultaneously in the same instrument, or spread trading between highly correlated instruments to neutralize directional risk, is prohibited. All trading must be fundamentally directional.

Do I need a defined trading strategy?

Yes, traders must operate with a clearly defined, consistently applied trading strategy. We may request explanations or charts to verify compliance.

Platforms & Data

What trading platforms can I use with Edmond Trader Funding?

We support industry-leading platforms such as Rithmic R|Trader Pro along with the Tradesea platform offered through Rithmic. all included in the account.

Is a NinjaTrader license provided?

Not at this time. However, we are working toward offering NinjaTrader licenses for accounts connected via Rithmic through Edmond Trader Funding in the near future.

How do I connect to Rithmic?

Detailed connection guides for Rithmic are available in our Setup Guide section on the dashboard. You will need your Rithmic User ID and Password.

Payments, Subscriptions & Payouts

What are the fees for an evaluation account?

Edmond Trader Funding offers various evaluation account sizes, each with a recurring monthly subscription fee. For example, a $25,000 account costs (Please see our "Funding Plans" section for current pricing). Example if you fail/blow your account it will reactivate on subscription date, you can reset your failed accounts at any time to start over. If you pass your evaluation the account will be closed when the PRO account is activated. You can also cancel your subscription at any time if the account is blown.

What payment methods do you accept for subscriptions?

We accept major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor, crypto payments soon.

What is your refund policy for evaluation fees?

Due to the nature of our service and immediate access to the evaluation platform, all evaluation accounts subscription fees are non-refundable.

How do payouts work from a Performance Account?

Once you meet the profit targets and minimum trading days along with following the rules in your Performance Account, you can request a payout through your dashboard.

How often are payouts processed?

Payouts are generally processed twice a month during designated payout periods.

What methods are used for payouts?

We offer several payout methods, which may include bank wire, ACH, or potentially cryptocurrency. Specific methods will be detailed in your Performance Account agreement.

Are there any hidden fees?

All fees are transparently listed. There are no hidden fees for our evaluation subscriptions. Payouts may incur standard transaction fees from the chosen payout method.

What is the minimum payout amount?

The minimum payout amount will be specified in your Performance Account agreement.

Account Management & Support

What if I have connection issues with my trading platform?

Please refer to our Setup Guide and FAQ section for common troubleshooting steps. If issues persist, contact our support team, providing details of your platform and the error message.

How do I manage my evaluation subscription (e.g., cancel)?

You can manage your active subscriptions, including cancellations, directly from your user dashboard on the Edmond Trader Funding website.
